HEY I have another idea to make you more aero- lose weight! Way cheaper than an expensive aero helmet and bike.
(not that I have anything against less than fit people riding bikes, as I’m one, but STILL!)
Regardless, @cycleboredom said he crushed everyone during Hain’s Point laps. So can’t knock that.

Ever thought he might be cycling to lose weight?

Yes, of course! Cycling is an awesome way to lose weight. I always just find it slightly ridiculous to spending a gratuitous amount of money on aero equipment to make you go faster, when a super cheap way to go faster to be lose weight/build muscle.

I wonder if under certain conditions being fatter can make you more aero. Does anyone remember when everyone made a hoopla about Schleck’s chest Camelbak? Imagine what a potbelly could do for you there.
What about with the tail on the your aero helmet? Shoulder fat makes for a seamless, smooth, transition.
Edit: Not to be that guy but a good helmet, aero bars, and shoe covers can make an immediately improvement on your end time.  Between the tree you’re looking at, what, $500? How much weight can you lose and muscle gain with $500 worth of gym/trainer funds? This is all assuming the theoretical rider in question has the cardio required to make the thing go at all.
